Publication Ethics
Ethical Standards
The International Journal for Research in Climatic Change & Earth Science (IJRCCES) is committed to maintaining high standards of integrity, transparency, accountability, and ethical responsibility throughout the editorial, peer review, and publication processes. The journal follows the ethical principles and best-practice recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record.
In alignment with COPE’s Core Practices, IJRCCES periodically reviews and updates its editorial and publication policies to support continuous improvement in research integrity and publishing standards. Authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members are encouraged to raise concerns or provide feedback regarding ethical or editorial matters.
All manuscripts submitted to IJRCCES undergo a double-blind peer review process in accordance with recognized scholarly publishing standards. Manuscripts are evaluated by qualified reviewers with relevant academic and research expertise. Editorial assessment also considers the manuscript’s originality, methodological soundness, clarity, technical quality, and compliance with the journal’s publication requirements.
Minor technical, grammatical, or language corrections may be made where necessary to improve readability and presentation, provided that such corrections do not alter the intellectual content, findings, or scholarly interpretation of the work.
Research Misconduct Policy
IJRCCES follows COPE recommendations when addressing allegations or concerns relating to research or publication misconduct. Research misconduct may include, but is not limited to:
When a concern is raised by reviewers, editors, readers, authors, or other parties, the editorial office conducts an initial assessment and, where appropriate, follows relevant COPE flowcharts and established procedures for investigating suspected misconduct.
Authors may be contacted formally and provided with an opportunity to respond to the concern and provide relevant explanations or supporting documentation. Where necessary, the journal may request clarification regarding research methods, data, figures, authorship, or other aspects of the submitted or published work.
If misconduct or significant errors are confirmed, appropriate action may be taken depending on the circumstances. Such action may include rejection of a manuscript, correction of a published article, publication of an expression of concern, or retraction of an article. Corrective actions are taken to protect the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.
Where a matter cannot be satisfactorily resolved through communication with the authors, or where institutional investigation is considered necessary, the journal may refer the matter to the authors’ affiliated institution or other appropriate authority in accordance with applicable ethical publishing practices.
Authorship Changes Policy
IJRCCES follows COPE recommendations when considering requests to change authorship or contributorship. Authorship changes may include:
Requests for authorship changes must be submitted to the editorial office in writing with a clear explanation and justification for the proposed change. Any request made before or after publication must be supported by the agreement of all authors, including authors who are proposed to be added or removed.
The journal does not approve authorship changes solely on the request of one author without appropriate consent from all affected authors. Where all authors agree and the requested change is adequately justified, the editorial office may approve and implement the change.
If authors cannot reach agreement regarding authorship, the journal may place the manuscript or relevant post-publication action on hold until the matter is appropriately resolved. In cases where an authorship dispute cannot be resolved by the journal, the matter may be referred to the authors’ affiliated institution for investigation.
IJRCCES is committed to protecting the integrity of the scholarly record and maintaining ethical, responsible, transparent, and academically rigorous publishing practices throughout the editorial and publication process.
